Firaxis Games developed the game, and 2K published it on Steam on February 10, 2025. The product page lists the key as global, so any Steam account can register it. Offline play needs only Steam; a 2K Account comes in for online interactions. At checkout, you choose your coin and network.

What is in the Settler's Edition?
A bundle of 24 items, as Steam sells it (checked September 25, 2026): the base game, the Tecumseh and Shawnee Pack, the Crossroads of the World and Right to Rule collections, the Deluxe upgrade and its content, and civilization and leader packs with personas. Do I need a 2K Account for Civilization VII?
Only for online interactions. Steam's notice says a 2K Account is required for them, is not required for offline play, and can be linked to your Steam account. Steam also says linking a 2K Account unlocks Napoleon.
On how many PCs can I activate Civilization VII in a day?
Five machines within 24 hours: the store page lists Denuvo copy protection with a limit of 5 machine activations in that window. Keep it in mind if you move between several computers.

How do I activate the Settler's Edition key?
Sign in to Steam, go to Games, then Activate a Product on Steam, and enter the key; the game joins your library. Link your 2K Account afterwards only if you want online interactions or Napoleon. How to activate a Steam key bought with crypto has the browser route too.
When do I receive the Civilization VII key?
Your code appears on screen as soon as the payment confirms on the network. We also email you a link to it. How long the confirmation takes depends on the coin.
What if the Civilization VII key does not activate?
Write to us with your order number and a screenshot of Steam's message. Refunds within 30 days if a code fails at first redemption, arrives incomplete or never arrives, or our page showed the wrong region.
