How do I redeem an Uber or Uber Eats gift card?

In the Uber or Uber Eats app, open Wallet, tap Add Funds, choose Gift card and enter the code with no spaces.

Uber's US terms say Uber Cash can be redeemed only in the Uber, Uber Eats and Postmates apps, not on the web (checked September 25, 2026). The value becomes Uber Cash (Uber Money in the EEA and the UK): both apps share it, and it pays your next ride or order by default.

How do I add an Uber gift card in the app?

From the Wallet, per Uber's help pages (checked September 25, 2026):

1. Make sure the Uber or Uber Eats app is up to date.
2. Open Account, or the menu icon, and tap Wallet.
3. Tap Add Funds, then Gift card. Some versions say Add payment method instead.
4. Enter the code exactly as shown, with no spaces, and confirm.

In the EEA and the UK, tap Add Funds (Uber Money), then Add Gift Code. Uber may ask you to verify your identity, depending on the amount.

Why won't Uber accept my code?

Uber's rules differ by country: check the terms on your card's country page. Common causes, per Uber's help pages:

• "Gift code already redeemed": ask anyone with access to the code, then use Uber's gift card support form.
• Wrong country: Uber says a card works only in its country of purchase; its EEA pages say countries using the same currency.
• Expired: in the EEA a card expires 1 year after purchase unless local law sets longer; in the US, the loaded value never expires.

How do I check my Uber Cash balance?

In the app's Wallet; in Uber Eats, open Account, Wallet, then Uber Cash (checked September 25, 2026). Uber Cash cannot pay for trips requested on the web or money you owe Uber.

Does my Uber account country matter?

Less than the card's country: Uber works in any area, but Uber Cash stays in the currency it was issued in and cannot be converted. In a country with another currency, pay by card: the balance waits until you are back. Read what the country on a gift card means first.
