What should I know before I add the card?

Once added, the amount stays on that Uber account. Uber says a gift card amount cannot be transferred after you add it, and the balance cannot be used with family profiles or on scheduled rides (checked September 25, 2026). Under Uber's US terms, the loaded value never expires, cannot be reloaded, and cannot be cashed out except where the law requires it.

When do I get my Uber code?
