How do I install my eSIM on Android?

Install your eSIM on Android at home on Wi-Fi: open our email on the phone and tap "Install on Android", or scan the QR code.

Then set the eSIM as your mobile data SIM, keep your own SIM for calls, and switch the eSIM on with data roaming when you land.

How do I install it, step by step?

Five steps, from our email and the Google and Samsung support pages (checked September 25, 2026).

1. Connect the phone to Wi-Fi at home, before you travel: installing needs internet.
2. Open the email "Your eSIM for order [order number]" on the phone that will hold the eSIM and tap "Install on Android".
3. Reading the email on another screen? Scan the QR code. On a Pixel, go to Settings, Network & internet, SIMs, then tap Add SIM and Set up an eSIM. On a Samsung Galaxy, go to Settings, Connections, SIM manager, then tap Add eSIM and Scan QR code.
4. Set the eSIM as your mobile data SIM and keep your own SIM for calls. On a Pixel, choose it in Settings, Network & internet, SIMs. On a Samsung Galaxy, Primary SIM in SIM manager sets the default for calls, texts and mobile data.
5. When you land, turn the eSIM on and turn on roaming for it. On a Pixel, open the eSIM under SIMs and turn on Roaming. On a Samsung Galaxy, go to Settings, Connections, Mobile networks, Data roaming.

What if the QR code and the button do not work?

Enter the activation code by hand. On a Samsung Galaxy, go to Settings, Connections, SIM manager, tap Add eSIM, Scan QR code, then Enter activation code, per Samsung's eSIM guide. On other phones, add an eSIM in the settings, choose to enter the details manually, and paste the code from our email or your order page.

What should I avoid?

Deleting the eSIM. A deleted eSIM cannot be installed again, even when the data runs out. An installed eSIM stays on that phone and cannot be moved to another one, so install it on the phone you travel with.
