Who is behind Genghis?
Genghis Ltd, a private company limited by shares, incorporated in England and Wales. Genghis Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 16315448, 20 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU. The company is on the public Companies House register, where you can look it up by name or number.
- A named founder: Claudio Cuccovillo, founder and CEO, is also the company's director and signs these articles under his own name.
- Accelerators: Genghis is accelerated by Algorand and Techstars. Neither program is an investment in Genghis, and the company is bootstrapped.
- A public team: the people who run Genghis are listed on the About Genghis page.
- Customer reviews: Genghis is reviewed on Trustpilot.
How is my crypto payment processed?
NOWPayments, a third-party payment processor, handles the payment, and Genghis never custodies customer funds. Genghis is an online shop for digital goods, not a wallet or an exchange.
- An address for your order: NOWPayments creates a deposit address for your order, and you send the payment to it from your own wallet or exchange.
- No balance with us: you never deposit crypto with Genghis. Each payment pays for one order.
- No access to your wallet: Genghis never sees your wallet's private keys, seed phrase or balance. A payment is a transfer you approve in your own wallet.
- No wallet address kept: we never store your wallet address.
- The NOWPayments email: NOWPayments can email you that your payment is finished. That email confirms the payment only, not the delivery. Read what to do when NOWPayments says your payment is done but you have no code.
Where do the gift card codes come from?
From authorized distributors. The distributor issues the code, and we show it to you on screen and email you a link to it. The brand sets the redemption rules, the region and any expiry date. Each product page lists the country or region where the code works, so match it to the country of your account.
What happens if my order goes wrong?
A person on our team traces it, then delivers the code or refunds you. Write to samantha@genghis.pro with your order number and the transaction hash (TxID). We reply within 24 hours on business days, and a person on our team reads every email.
- Payment confirmed, but no code: we trace the payment, then deliver the code or refund. Read what to do when you paid but have no code.
- The product ran out after you paid: this is rare. We offer another amount of the same card, on the thank-you page or by email, or a refund under the refund rules.
- A code that does not work: refunds within 30 days if a code fails at first redemption, arrives incomplete or never arrives, or our page showed the wrong region. Read what to check when a gift card code does not work.
- An order refused after payment: we refund it. The rules are in the AML and purchase limits policy.
Refunds are paid in USDT or USDC (ERC-20 or BEP-20) or as Genghis Points, 1 to 3 business days after approval. Read how to ask for a refund, or the full refund policy.
How can I spot a fake Genghis site or message?
Check the address. The shop is at genghis.pro and www.genghis.pro, this Help Center is at help.genghis.pro, and the only support address is samantha@genghis.pro. A site or message that claims to be Genghis support from any other address is not our team.
- Support is email only. There is no phone line and no live chat with a person. The chat window on this Help Center is an assistant that answers from these articles. There you can ask for a person and leave your email address, and the reply comes by email.
- Pay only on the payment screen. Send crypto only to the address shown on the genghis.pro payment screen for your order, never to an address someone sends you in a message.
- Keep your keys to yourself. Genghis never sees your wallet's private keys or seed phrase. Never share them with anyone who writes to you in our name.
- Codes arrive on screen and by email link. We never send codes by SMS or to a crypto wallet.
- No ID to buy. You do not upload an ID, take a selfie or verify a phone number at checkout. The one exception: above the purchase limits, we may ask for ID, and we tell you before you pay.
If something looks wrong, write to samantha@genghis.pro. Read how to send crypto safely and how to contact Genghis support.
Why does Genghis not ask for my ID?
Because an email address is all we need to deliver your code. No KYC at checkout: an email address is all we ask for. Purchase limits apply: see the AML and purchase limits page. Some prepaid card issuers may ask for ID when you activate or load the card. That is the issuer's rule. Read what KYC is and why Genghis asks only for an email.
What data does Genghis collect?
The minimum: your email address, your IP address for a short time, and the items you bought. We use the email address to send you the link to your code. The IP address is logged briefly for fraud detection, as NOWPayments requires. We never store your wallet address, and we never sell or share your data with advertisers. We do not track redemption once the code leaves our system.
To delete your data, write to samantha@genghis.pro from the email address you used at checkout. We delete personal data within 30 days, except what we must keep by law, typically order records kept for six years under UK accounting law. Our public promises on data are in the Yassa, and the details on the Genghis security page.
What risks remain when I pay with crypto?
A crypto payment is final, so most risks sit on the sending side. Check these before you send:
- Wrong network: coins sent on a different network from the one you picked can be lost. That is a blockchain limitation, not a Genghis policy. Read what happens when crypto goes to the wrong network.
- Short payment: if your wallet or exchange takes its fee out of the amount, less arrives and the order does not complete on its own.
- Missing tag: XRP, Sei, Terra and Terra Classic need a memo or destination tag, and a deposit sent without it cannot be recovered.
- Region: a gift card works only in the country or region shown on its product page.
- Your own wallet: anyone who gets your seed phrase controls your funds, on any site.
