I sent crypto on the wrong network. Can I get it back?

Each payment at checkout is for one coin on one network. If your wallet or exchange sends on another network, the funds can be lost: that is a blockchain limitation, not a Genghis policy. Send us the transaction hash (TxID), the network you sent on and the email address of your order. A person on our team checks your case.

Can Genghis recover crypto sent on the wrong network?

We cannot promise it. A confirmed blockchain transfer cannot be reversed by us or by your wallet, so crypto sent on a network other than the one you picked can be lost. What we can do is look at your transaction and tell you honestly whether any route exists for your case. Write as soon as you notice, rather than waiting for the order to update on its own.

What should I send you?

Send what lets us find the transfer in one step.

• the transaction hash (TxID) from your wallet or exchange: see where to find your transaction ID;
• the network you sent on, and the network you picked at checkout;
• the email address you used at checkout, and the order number if you have it.

How do I avoid sending on the wrong network next time?

Match the network in three places before you send.

• At checkout. After you choose a coin, the screen asks which network, for example "Which network for Tether USD?", and reminds you: "Pick the network your wallet sends from: a transfer on the wrong network is lost."
• On the payment screen. Under the amount, the screen repeats the coin and the network you chose. For tokens such as USDT it adds: "Sending on another network loses the funds."
• In your wallet or exchange. Pick the same network in the send or withdrawal screen. Exchanges often label Tron, Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain as TRC20, ERC20 and BEP20. Read what to check when you pay from an exchange.

Do not rely on the address to tell you the network. Addresses on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum One, Optimism, Avalanche C-Chain and Celo all start with 0x and look alike. The network you select in your wallet decides where the funds go.

Does the same risk apply to a missing memo or tag?

Yes. A few coins need a tag with the transfer, and a deposit sent without it can be lost in the same way. Read which coins need a memo or destination tag.
