How do I buy gift cards with Dogecoin?

To buy gift cards with Dogecoin, choose Dogecoin at checkout and send the exact DOGE amount shown to the address on the payment screen.

What is Dogecoin?

Dogecoin is an open source digital currency, sent peer to peer, launched in 2013 by Jackson Palmer and Shibetoshi Nakamoto, according to dogecoin.com. Unlike Bitcoin, its supply has no cap: every block adds a fixed 10,000 DOGE, per the Dogecoin Core FAQ.

Which networks does Genghis accept for Dogecoin?

One, the Dogecoin network itself, as of September 25, 2026. The checkout always shows the current list.

In the list of coins, the Dogecoin row reads "DOGE on Dogecoin": one coin, one network. On a computer there is no wallet button for DOGE, so you copy the address and amount or scan the QR code with your phone's wallet. Your wallet or exchange may still charge its own sending fee.

How do I pay with Dogecoin, step by step?

Seven steps, from cart to code.

1. Put your gift card in the cart, go to checkout and type the email address where your code should go.
2. Find Dogecoin: select "Show all currencies", or type DOGE in the search box, which finds a coin by name, ticker or network. Choose the row that reads "DOGE on Dogecoin".
3. Send exactly the DOGE amount shown to the address shown. Use "Copy address", or scan the QR code with your wallet.
4. On a phone, you can tap "Open in wallet" instead: your wallet app opens with the transfer filled in. Check the address and amount before you confirm.
5. If your wallet or exchange takes a sending fee, choose "recipient gets the full amount" or add the fee on top, so every DOGE due arrives.
6. Send while the quote countdown is running. If it runs out, the address still works: tap "Get a new quote" for the updated amount.
7. Wait for the Dogecoin payment to confirm. Your code appears on screen and we email you a link to it.

What should I check before I send DOGE?

Three things: the fee, the address and the exchange you send from.

• The fee comes out of your DOGE. Dogecoin fees depend on the size of the transaction in bytes, not on the amount sent. Dogecoin Core recommends 0.01 DOGE per kilobyte (checked September 25, 2026). Keep a little DOGE beyond the amount due so your wallet can add the fee.
• Dogecoin addresses start with D. Standard addresses start with D, and script addresses start with 9 or A, per the Dogecoin Core source code. If the address you pasted starts with anything else, copy it again with "Copy address".
• Exchanges take their cut first. In the withdrawal screen, pick the Dogecoin network and check that the full amount due still arrives after the exchange's fee. Read what to check when you pay from an exchange.

How long until I get my code?

Your code appears on screen as soon as the payment confirms on the network. We also email you a link to it. How long the confirmation takes depends on the coin. The Dogecoin network targets one block per minute, where Bitcoin blocks come about every ten minutes (Dogecoin Core FAQ). What if something goes wrong with my DOGE payment?

Can I get a refund in Dogecoin?

No, refunds are not paid in DOGE. Refunds within 30 days if a code fails at first redemption, arrives incomplete or never arrives, or our page showed the wrong region.
