How do I buy gift cards with Monero (XMR)?

As of September 25, 2026, Monero orders carry a $2.35 network cost, shown before you pay. There is no wallet button for XMR: copy the address and amount, or scan the QR code. Your code appears on screen as soon as the payment confirms on the network. We also email you a link to it.

What is Monero?

Monero (XMR) is a cryptocurrency built for privacy: the sender, receiver and amount of every transaction are hidden by default, using stealth addresses, ring signatures and RingCT, according to getmonero.org. The fee is the one value in a Monero transaction that is not encrypted.

Which networks does Genghis accept for Monero?

The Monero network alone, as of September 25, 2026. The checkout always shows the current list.

As of September 25, 2026, Monero and USDT on Tron are the only coin and network pairs with a network cost at checkout. The Monero row in the coin list shows the cost before you choose it, and the payment screen repeats it next to the amount. Your wallet's own fee is separate.

What does Monero's privacy cover when I pay?

The transfer on the Monero network, not your order. Monero transactions are private by default and cannot be traced on a block explorer the way Bitcoin payments can (getmonero.org). Your order is a separate record: it holds the email address you gave at checkout, as every order does. No KYC at checkout: an email address is all we ask for. How do I pay with XMR, step by step?

Seven steps. Steps 3 and 7 are the ones Monero adds.

1. Put your product in the cart, open checkout and write the email address that gets the code.
2. Type XMR or Monero in the search box, or tap "Show all currencies", then choose "XMR on Monero". Its row shows the network cost.
3. Open your Monero wallet and let it finish syncing, so it can spend the XMR you hold.
4. Copy the address with "Copy address", or scan the QR code, and send exactly the XMR amount shown, network cost included.
5. If your wallet or exchange deducts a fee from the amount, choose "recipient gets the full amount" or add the fee on top.
6. Send while "Quote expires in" is still counting. If it ends, the address stays valid: "Get a new quote" shows the new amount.
7. Save the transaction ID your wallet shows, then wait for the payment to confirm. Your code appears on screen and we email you a link to it.

What should I check before I send XMR?

That your XMR is spendable now, your wallet is synced and the address is complete. These points come from getmonero.org (checked September 25, 2026).

• Newly received XMR is locked for 10 blocks. Monero keeps received funds locked for 10 blocks, about 20 minutes, before they can be spent. If you just moved XMR into your wallet, wait until it shows as spendable before you start checkout. The quote holds for about 20 minutes; the rate is not locked.
• Your wallet has to catch up first. A Monero wallet scans each new block to find incoming payments, so a wallet you have not opened for a while needs to sync before it can send.
• Addresses are long. Standard addresses have 95 characters and start with 4, subaddresses start with 8, and integrated addresses, which carry a payment ID, have 106 characters. Paste the whole address from "Copy address".
• The fee is dynamic and paid in XMR. It goes to the miner and comes on top of the amount due.
• Keep your TxID. It is what we ask for if you write to us. Read where to find your transaction ID (TxID).

How long until I get my code?

Your code appears on screen as soon as the payment confirms on the network. We also email you a link to it. How long the confirmation takes depends on the coin. Most orders are delivered automatically; a small share is checked by hand before delivery. What if something goes wrong with my XMR payment?

Can I get a refund in XMR?

No: refunds are never paid in XMR, so an approved refund reaches you as USDT, USDC or Points. Refunds within 30 days if a code fails at first redemption, arrives incomplete or never arrives, or our page showed the wrong region.
