How do I buy gift cards with Cardano (ADA)?

To pay with ADA, pick Cardano in the list of coins and send exactly the amount shown to the Cardano address on the payment screen.

ADA is accepted on the Cardano network only, with no network cost at checkout as of September 25, 2026. There is no wallet button for ADA: copy the address and amount, or scan the QR code. Your code appears on screen as soon as the payment confirms on the network. We also email you a link to it.

What is Cardano?

Cardano is a decentralized proof of stake blockchain built on peer reviewed research, and ada is its principal currency, according to the Cardano documentation.

Which networks does Genghis accept for Cardano?

Only the Cardano network, as of September 25, 2026. The checkout always shows the current list.

In the coin list, Cardano shows as "ADA on Cardano". No wallet button appears for ADA on a phone or a computer, so the payment screen gives you the address, a QR code, "Copy address" and the exact amount to send.

How do I pay with ADA, step by step?

Six steps. The sending itself happens in your Cardano wallet or exchange.

1. Put the product in your cart, check out and give the email address for your code.
2. Look up Cardano: type ADA or Cardano into the search box, or open "Show all currencies". Pick the row that reads "ADA on Cardano".
3. Copy the address with "Copy address" and the amount into your Cardano wallet, or scan the QR code. Send exactly that amount.
4. Before you confirm, look at the fee your wallet shows. If your wallet or exchange takes it out of the amount, choose "recipient gets the full amount" or add the fee on top.
5. Watch the "Quote expires in" countdown. If the quote runs out, the address is still valid: use "Get a new quote" for the new amount.
6. Wait for Cardano to confirm the payment. Your code appears on screen and we email you a link to it.

What is different about paying with ADA?

Two Cardano rules shape every payment: a minimum amount of ADA per output, and fees set by a formula. Both come from the Cardano documentation (checked September 25, 2026).

• Every output needs a minimum of ADA. Cardano requires each transaction output to carry a minimum amount of ada, called the minimum ada value. Keep a little more ADA than the amount due plus the fee, rather than sending your balance down to nothing.
• You can see the exact fee before you send. Fees on Cardano are paid in ADA and follow a fixed formula based on the size of the transaction, so your wallet can show the exact fee in advance.
• Payment addresses start with addr1. Cardano mainnet addresses from the Shelley era start with addr1, stake addresses start with stake1, and legacy Byron addresses use an older format (CIP-19). Copy the payment address with the button; never retype it.
• From an exchange, check what arrives. Pick the Cardano network in the withdrawal screen and make sure the full amount due lands after the exchange's fee. Read what to check when you pay from an exchange.

How long until I get my code?

Your code appears on screen as soon as the payment confirms on the network. We also email you a link to it. How long the confirmation takes depends on the coin. Once the network sees your ADA transfer, the payment screen shows the transaction. Most orders are delivered automatically; a small share is checked by hand before delivery. What if something goes wrong with my ADA payment?

Send nothing more and write to samantha@genghis.pro, with your order number and the transaction hash (TxID). Then read the page for your case: ADA sent on the wrong network, a payment that stays on "Pending", an order marked "partially paid", or ADA that arrived after the quote expired.

Can I get a refund in ADA?

No: we do not refund in ADA, whichever coin you paid with. Refunds within 30 days if a code fails at first redemption, arrives incomplete or never arrives, or our page showed the wrong region.
